Final Stats

SEARCY, Ark.--An ice-cold second half doomed the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs to their third straight defeat as they fell 65-45 at Harding Saturday night in Gulf South Conference West Division women's basketball action.

The Lady Bucs (15-5, 3-4 GSC West) led 30-24 at halftime and held the lead as late as 34-31 on a layup by junior guard Erin Nigh (Morristown, Ind./Morristown HS) with 14:31 remaining, but the Lady Bisons (14-6, 4-3) scored the next 10 points to spark a game-ending 34-11 run.

Kristen Donnell and Stacey Owens scored 18 points each to lead the Lady Bisons. Kinsey Tucker scored 17, while Catherine McMenamy added 10. Donnell grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds, helping Harding to a 49-23 edge on the boards.

Nigh led the Lady Bucs with 10.

CBU shot just 29.1 percent (16-of-55) from the floor, including just 25 percent (5-of-20) with 10 turnovers in the second half. Harding was 41.3 percent (19-of-46) from the floor, including 54.5 percent (6-of-11) from three-point range. Harding was 77.8 percent (21-of-27) at the free throw line to the Lady Bucs' 52.9 percent (9-of-17).

The Lady Bucs will be back in action Thursday night as they visit Southern Arkansas at 5:30 p.m. They return to Canale Arena Thursday, Feb. 14, as they host Arkansas Tech.
