Lady Bucs Add D-I Transfer

June 10, 2008

MEMPHIS--Christian Brothers University women's basketball coach Scott Groninger has announced the addition of Southern Illinois transfer Tanaeya Worden.

Worden, a 5-6 sophomore guard, comes to CBU after averaging 5.8 points per game in 23 games at SIU.  She started three games and averaged 21.6 minutes per game.

She scored a career-high 18 points against Missouri State and scored 17 points against DePaul and Indiana State.

Worden was a three-time All-State player at Sioux City North HS in Sioux City, Iowa.  As a senior, she averaged 15 points per game and led the Stars to the Class 4A state championship.  The Stars went 76-18 during her four-year career, including a 25-2 record as a senior.

Worden will have three years of eligibility at CBU.

The Lady Bucs return four starters from last year's team, which went 19-10.
