CLARION GOLFERS FINISH THIRD AT ST. VINCENT

(Latrobe, Pa.): Clarion freshman Jared Schmader earned medalist honors on Thursday and the Golden Eagles placed third at the St Vincent Invitational Golf Tournament held at the Latrobe Country Club.

Schmader shot an even par 72 to lead all golfers, while teammate Preston Mullens carded a 77. Also scoring for the Golden Eagles were Justin Moose with an 82, Justin Cameron had an 83 and Sean Foust registered an 88.

St. Vincent won their own tournament with a 309 team score, while Washington and Jefferson was second with a 311, Clarion third at 314, Thomas Moore fourth with a 319 and IUP fifth at 320. There were 18 teams in the event.

Clarion's next action will be April 21 and April 22 at the WVIAC/PSAC challenge held in Berkely Springs, West Virginia.
