CLARION NETTERS LOSE TO TUSCULUM 7-2

(Hilton Head, S.C.): Clarion's Women's Tennis team opened the Spring 2008 campaign with a 7-2 loss against Tusculum in Hilton Head, South Carolina on Sunday, March 9th.

Clarion #1 singles player Corin Rombach (Sr. Prattsburgh, N.Y.) won her singles match 7-5, 6-2 over Bronwyn Hartley, and the doubles team of Rombach, and her sister Devin, defeated Caroline Crowe and Katelyn Doss 9-7.

At #2 singles Lisa Baumgartner lost a tough 6-2, 7-5 decision to Jennifer Sparks in her match.

Clarion is 0-1 in the Spring, and now 4-3 overall, since the team was 4-2 in dual meets last Fall.

The Golden Eagles play Kutztown at noon on Monday.
