In their final regular season dual meet of the season, the Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Teams sent off their seniors with a splash, with the men downing the Blue Devils 156-116 and the women winning 162.5-133.5. With the win, the men finish the dual-meet season at 12-2, 6-2 ACC, while the women up their ledger to 8-7, 3-5 ACC. Clemson's senior men won five of sixteen events on the afternoon.
With their 12th win of the season and sixth in the conference, the men's team achieved a few milestones. The sixth ACC win sets a new Clemson record for most ACC wins in a season, while the 12 wins is the second most in Clemson history behind the 13 wins the 2003-04 team achieved. Jay Crout and Bryce Herrington are the only two left over from that squad. The .857 winning percentage is the third highest on record behind a 3-0 1941-42 team and the 1976-77 team that was 7-1 (.875).
The women moved to 16-0 all-time against Duke and picked up their eighth win of the season, assuring them of a winning mark for the second straight season, and their fifth in six years under Chris Ip.
Junior Diver Stephanie Fura continued her strong efforts with a 285.68 on the three-meter board, an NCAA Zone Qualifying mark. Junior Michelle Parkhurst again won all four events in which she competed, the 200 medley relay, 200 free, 200 back, and 400 free relay. Sophomore Caitlin Seed won the 50 free and took second in the 100 free and 100 back. Freshman Elizabeth Savage took a win in the 400 IM
Senior Andy Bergren did his part, winning the 100 breast and 200 breast, in addition to a win as part of the 200 medley relay. The 200 medley relay, a group of seniors including Jay Crout, Bergren , Adam Farnham, and Matt Balderston won fittingly won the first event of the afternoon. Farnham added a win in the 100 free(45.91) and second in the 50 free and 200 free. Mark Vahle won the 50 free in 20.39, and Sean Geary won the 500 free and took second in the 1000 free. Taylor Thompson won the 100 back (51.81). Sophomore Matt Angelini won the 400 IM and 200 free.
