"I played steady and kept the ball in play, that was probably the key. I reached 15 greens in regulation because I drove it in the second cut of rough just once all day. I made one double bogey when I hit it in the sand and it was wet. It was a tough break. You can make up for a bogey, but it is tough to come back from a double bogey.

"I was happy with the way I played today, but there is a lot of golf let. Tomorrow I have a late tee time so I will get up, have breakfast and do a 45-60 minute workout in a gym. Then I will go to the course and do my normal routine. That will include a lot of work on the putting green.

"I had a lot of opportunities today. I missed five fairways, but I was in the second cut of rough just once all day. That allowed me to get to the green.

"I made a 20 foot putt for birdie on the fourth hole. On the 13th hole (playing 540 yards today) I hit driver and fiv- iron to the green and two putted. My best hole of the day was the par three 11th. It was playing 221 yards and I hit a high three iron to seven feet and made the putt for birdie. I just played steady over the last five holes to finish one over."

"I am looking forward to tomorrow. It is a great opportunity."
