GREENSBORO, N.C. - Four Clemson Men's Soccer Players secured spots on this year's All-ACC Academic Men's Soccer Team as announced by Commissioner John D. Swofford.

To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during his academic career.

The four Clemson men soccer players honored includes: David Bell, Mark Buchholz, Greg Eckhardt, and David Newton.

David Bell had two goals and two assists for six points his senior season in 2007. He is an electrical engineering major from Athens, GA.

Mark Buchholz, a two-sport athlete finished the 2007 season with three goals and three assists for nine points. Buchholz was also a football All-ACC Academic team selection. The Alpharetta, GA native is a marketing major.

Greg Eckhardt started all 19 matches for the Tigers as a defender. He had one goal and two assists for four points. Eckhardt is a sophomore from Orange Park, FL.

David Newton played in 18 matches and had two goals and two assists for six points from his defender position. He is a sophomore from Mount Pleasant, SC.
