CLEMSON, SC - Harvard defeated Clemson 4-3 in a men's intercollegiate tennis match at Clemson, SC Monday. Harvard improves to 5-4 on the year, and Clemson drops to 9-9 overall this season.
Clemson will play Brevard Monday evening at 5:00 p.m. in the Tigers' next match.
Harvard won the doubles point and won three singles matches to claim the victory.
Ashwin Kumar won at number two singles with a win over Clemson's Kevin Fleck 6-2, 6-2. The Crimson's Aba Omodele-Lecien and Alexei Chijoff-Evans were both victorious at number five singles and number six singles respectively.
Carlos Alvarez defeated Chris Clayton at number one singles 6-3, 6-0. Gera Boryachinskiy defeated Sasha Ermakov at number three singles 6-3, 6-0. The Tigers' Ike Belk won at number four singles with a 6-2, 2-6, 6-2 victory over Dan Nguyen.
