Fayetteville, AR - Mitch Greeley was fourth in the championships pole vault and cleared 18'0" for the second straight meet to lead the Clemson men's track & field team at the Tyson Invitational on Saturday.

Greeley cleared 18'0.5", one week after posting an automatic NCAA Championships qualifying mark of 18'1" at the Virginia Tech Elite Meet. Greeley was fourth overall, third among collegians Saturday.

Corey Brown posted a time of 21.66 in the 200m prelims, good enough for 21st in a field of 74 sprinters. Jasen Turnbull was solid in the 800m, turning in a time of 1:56.10 which was also 21st-best overall out of four sections.

Brown ran anchor leg for the Tigers' 4x400m relay team, which finished eighth in the collegiate section Saturday. Cowin Mills, Andrew Porter, and Travis Swaggard ran the first three legs on the team that put together a time of 3:14.40, just shy of its best mark this season.

Bryce Iverson was ninth in the championship 3000m run with a season-best time of 8:19.58. Matt Bruce was 12th in that section (8:30.38). Matt Hughes performed well in the 3000m run. The Canadian newcomer to the team this year posted a time of 8:30.04 and was fifth in the open section.

Alex Padgett finished 19th in the 35-pound weight throw. The red-shirt freshman posted a throw of 54'5.25".

The Tigers return to action in two weeks for the ACC Indoor Championships, held this season in Chapel Hill, NC.
