Philadelphia, PA - Mitch Greeley added another feat to his impressive list of credentials in track & field after winning the pole vault championship at the 113th edition of the Penn Relays. It marked the second straight win in the event for the Clemson senior, who was crowned ACC champion last weekend in Atlanta, GA. It was his first-ever Penn Relays title.

Greeley and teammate Chris Spear both cleared 17'0.75" Saturday, but Greeley did so in fewer attempts. Greeley also held off Maston Wallace of Texas, who finished runner-up. For Spear, it was an outdoor personal best and the fifth-best clearance in Clemson history. Both student-athletes have qualified for the East Region Championships, which will be held May 30-31 to determine who will advance to the NCAA Championships in Des Moines, IA.

The men's track & field team will be off next week due to final exams for the spring semester, but will return to action on May 10 to host the Orange & Purple Classic at the Rock Norman facility.
