CLEMSON, SC - The U.S. Under-20 Women's Soccer National Team will be in Clemson from May 12-27 for a two-week training camp. The national team, coached by Tony DiCicco, will play three scrimmages during the two-week period, two at Riggs Field and one on the Clemson soccer practice fields, all of which are free and open to the public.

The U-20 team will face the USL W-League's Charlotte Lady Eagles on Tuesday, May 20. The contest will begin at 3:00 p.m. at Riggs Field. On Thursday, May 22, the national team will face the Gwinnett Soccer Association boys club team at 7:00 p.m. The team's final scrimmage will be held on Saturday, May 24 at 1:00 p.m. on the Clemson practice fields (adjacent to the football practice fields and the indoor track) against the U-16 Boys team from Carolina Elite Soccer Academy. All three contests are open to the public and admission is free.

There are 26 players on the U-20 team's training camp roster, which was narrowed down from 34 players that attended the evaluation camp in Carson, CA. The team will be going through final preparations before heading to the CONCACAF (Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football) Qualifying tournament June 17-28 in Puebla, Mexico. Also competing in the qualifying tournament will be Mexico, Canada, Costa Rica, Cuba, Jamaica, Nicaragua and Trinidad & Tobago. The U.S. team hopes to secure one of three CONCACAF berths at the 2008 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup to be played in Chile November 19-December 7, 2008.
