CORAL GABLES, FL - Ani Mijacika and Carol Salge picked up singles wins on Friday afternoon but the Clemson women's tennis team fell at 11th-ranked Miami by a 5-2 margin.

The Tigers will remain in the state for a date with #12 Florida State on Sunday in Tallahassee.

Mijacika, ranked #3 in the most recent singles poll, defeated 22nd-ranked Laura Vallverdu of Miami in straight sets, 6-2, 7-6(4), at the top position. Salge then won a three-set battle over Caren Seenauth at flight five (6-4, 2-6, 6-3).
