CLEMSON, SC - With a pair of wins last weekend that extended its winning streak to five straight, the Clemson women's tennis team moved up two places to #21 in the most recent Fila/ITA Tennis poll.

The Tigers are now 10-9 on the year with a 6-3 record in conference matches. They will conclude the 2008 regular season this weekend with a pair of home contests.

Clemson Head Coach Nancy Harris' squad boasts the nation's second-ranked singles player in Ani Mijacika. The sophomore from Makarska, Croatia owns a 25-5 record for the year and is also ranked eighth in the latest doubles poll with Tiger senior Carol Salge. The duo is riding a seven-match winning streak to improve to 11-2 in the spring season.

Clemson was one of six ACC-member schools ranked in the top 25. Georgia Tech headed the list at #2 while Duke was also in the top 10 at #9. Miami was then ranked 11th with North Carolina just two spots lower at #13. Florida State earned the #19 ranking and the Tigers rounded out the list at #21.
