Clemson, SC - The women's track & field team had a successful first day of competition at the Tiger Invitational on Friday, a meet hosted by the Lady Tiger program. Senior Polly Hardy highlighted Clemson's efforts on day one with another NCAA provisional qualifying mark when she finished third in the preliminary round of the 60m hurdles.

Hardy clocked a season-best time of 8.40 for her third-place showing, which was .01 shy of tying her third-place standing on Clemson's all-time indoor performance list. Krystal Barringer (8.61) and Michaylin Golladay (8.89) will also compete in the 60m hurdles in Saturday's final (10:10 AM).

In the 60m dash, Ra'Sheena Parker (7.70) and Kristine Scott (7.75) both qualified for Saturday's final. The 60m final will be at 10:30 AM Saturday.

Caroline Kennedy finished sixth in the invitational pole vault after posting a mark of 11'5.75". She finished ahead of teammate Emily Barlage, who posted a mark of 10'6". Amy Morrison was fifth in the open pole vault (10'11.75").

The second day of action gets underway Saturday at 10:00 AM with a multitude of events, including the women's high jump and weight throw.
