Clemson, SC - Patricia Mamona earned her first-ever All-ACC certificate in the long jump Friday to highlight day two for the Clemson women's track & field team at the ACC Indoor Championships. Mamona placed third in the event, held at the Eddie Smith Field House on UNC's campus, to earn the third all-conference accolade of her career.

Polly Hardy (8.44) and Krystal Barringer (8.48) did not qualify for Saturday's final in the 60m hurdles. Both were scorers at last year's ACC indoor meet, held at Clemson's facility.

Barringer (7.74) had the top time in the 60m dash for the Lady Tigers, but did not qualify for the final. Ra'Sheena Parker had a 7.75 in the short sprint as well. In the 200m, Kristine Scott had the team's top time at 25.12 and finished 19th out of 31 competitors.

Mamona had a personal best in the long jump with a distance of 19'10.75" on the first attempt in the final round. She held off teammate April Sinkler, who placed fourth with a jump of 19'9.75", also a personal best. Nakeisha Wineglass (17'6") also competed Friday.

The All-ACC honor was the third in the career of sophomore Patricia Mamona, who will be among the favorites in tomorrow's triple jump as well. Mamona is the first Lady Tiger to earn all-conference recognition in the long jump since Gisele Oliveira won the event at the 2004 meet.

Anastasia Wilson finished seventh in the high jump Friday. She cleared her first two heights in just one attempt, and then fell short at 5'6.5". She finished with a 5'4.5" clearance, as did freshman Kendra Gauntlett. She earned half of a point for the Lady Tigers in the event. April Sinkler, arguably the team's top performer in the event, did not clear a height.

Caroline Kennedy had another strong showing in the pole vault. The sophomore from Orlando, FL followed up last year's All-ACC performance with a fourth-place finish Friday. She cleared 12'1.5" and gained 4.5 points for the Lady Tigers. Freshman Amy Morrison was ninth, as she cleared 11'7.75".

The women's team returns to action Saturday at 11:00 AM for the triple jump and shot put.
