Fayetteville, AR - Clemson sophomore Patricia Mamona competed in Saturday's triple jump at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships and came away with a 12th-place finish. The Lisbon, Portugal native participated in her first-ever NCAA indoor national meet. She previously competed at NCAA Outdoors last season as a freshman in the triple jump.

Mamona hit a mark of 43'0.5", which was good enough for 12th place Saturday. Erica McLain of Stanford won the event with an impressive mark of 46'7.25". Mamona was All-ACC this season in both the triple jump and long jump.

The Lady Tiger track & field team will return to action for the beginning of outdoor season next weekend at home in the Clemson Relays.
