Clemson, SC - The women's track & field team will host the Tiger Invitational at the school's indoor facility on Friday and Saturday. The meet gets underway Friday at 5:00 PM and continues Saturday at 10:00 AM. More than 50 schools will send at least one student-athlete to the competition.

Caroline Kennedy hopes to give the Lady Tigers a strong start to the meet Friday in the pole vault, scheduled for 5:00 PM. Kennedy is coming off last week's Virginia Tech Elite Meet, where she matched her previous best clearance at 12'5.5".

Polly Hardy and Krystal Barringer highlight five student-athletes from Clemson competing in the 60m hurdles. The prelims will be at 6:00 Friday evening, with the final scheduled for 10:10 AM Saturday. The 60m dash prelims are 6:40 Friday and the finals are set for 10:30 Saturday. Ra'Sheena Parker and Kristine Scott will compete in that event for the Lady Tiger program.

Several field events will begin promptly Saturday at 10:00 AM, including the women's high jump, triple jump, and weight throw. Linda Buchholz and Anastasia Wilson will be Clemson's top competitors in the high jump. Patricia Mamona, ranked seventh in the nation in the triple jump (43'4.25"), will rest this weekend.

The first running event for Clemson on Saturday will be the mile at 11:10 AM. Jenna Baker and Stephanie Buffo are both shooting to post Clemson's first sub-five minute time in the event since 2001.

Seven student-athletes will compete in the 800m, led by junior Candice Johnson from Duncan, SC. She owns the team's top time in the event. Parker and Scott will return to action Saturday for the 200m dash at 2:10 PM.

Sunday Ford, Abby Iselborn, and Laura Laughlin give the Lady Tigers a solid group in the 3000m run, which will be held in different sections Saturday afternoon. The seeded section, which will have Ford and Iselborn, will be run earlier in the day.

Clemson will enter its top 4x400m relay team into competition late in the afternoon Saturday as well. Christina Mason, Michaylin Golladay, Sierra Hill, and Polly Hardy will comprise the lineup for Marcia Noad's team.
