Greensboro, NC - Jenna Baker was named to the All-ACC Academic cross country team for the 2007 season, the league office announced Friday. The freshman from Bellevue, OH is the first all-academic selection for Clemson since the 2005 season when Jenny Barton earned the accolade.
Baker was the team's top performer throughout the fall season, despite being only a freshman. She was the team's top finisher at the ACC Championships with a 25th-place finish. She was the fourth-highest finisher among freshmen at the conference meet. Baker also led the Lady Tigers to a 15th-place Southeast Region ranking after finishing 35th in the individual race.
Baker, a nursing major, was a President's List (4.0 GPA) selection in the fall semester. She contributed to the team's 3.05 cumulative GPA, sixth-best among athletic programs at Clemson for the fall semester.
