Clemson, SC - The women's track & field team will begin the 2008 outdoor season at home this weekend for the Clemson Relays. The meet will take place Friday and Saturday at the school's Rock Norman facility and will feature competition from over 20 schools.

A full field of student-athletes will compete for Marcia Noad's team this weekend, beginning with the pole vault and discus throw at 3:30 PM Friday. Lauren Klas, who sat out indoor season with an injury, returns to action in the 3000m steeplechase Friday afternoon as well.

Saturday will feature plenty of action from the Clemson women's team. The 4x1500m relay team will get everything started in the morning, before Polly Hardy and Krystal Barringer are scheduled for the 100m hurdles at 12:30 PM. Nakeisha Wineglass leads a group of three in the long jump at 1:00.

Kristine Scott and Ra'Sheena Parker will lead the Lady Tiger efforts in the 100m dash, which is scheduled for 1:55 PM. Four student-athletes are also entered for Clemson in the 400m hurdles at 3:00, including senior captain Sierra Hill.

Clemson will enter relay teams in the 4x200m and 4000m distance medley events Saturday as well. The 4x2 is scheduled for 3:35, and the women's DMR will take place at 4:00. The Lady Tigers will not enter a 4x100m or 4x400m relay team this weekend, however.
