CLEMSON, SC - The Clemson volleyball team will play host to the College of Charleston and Middle Tennessee State in a spring season exhibition tournament on Saturday, Apr. 12.
The Tigers will play each team twice that day with the first match scheduled for 9:00 am at Jervey Gym against the Blue Raiders. Clemson and the Cougars will then face off at approximately 10:30 am. The Tigers and Middle Tennessee will battle again at 1:30 with the second Clemson-College of Charleston match slated for 3:00 p.m.
Clemson finished the 2007 season with a 29-4 overall record and a conference-best 21-1 mark. The Tigers were ranked 22nd in the final AVCA poll for their first top-25 listing since the 1999 season. Five starters from that squad will be in action on Apr. 12, including AVCA Honorable Mention All-Americans Danielle Hepburn, Didem Ege and Kelsey Murphy.
Also on the spring schedule for the Clemson team are a date with the University of San Diego in San Diego, CA on Thursday, Apr. 17 and the 2008 CSTV Collegiate Beach Nationals in San Diego on Apr. 20.
