CLEMSON, SC - Fans will have the chance to watch members of the Clemson volleyball team compete on television beginning on Sunday, as coverage from the 2008 Collegiate Beach Nationals airs next week. The Tigers sent four two-player teams to San Diego to compete in the April event.
Extensive television coverage of the Collegiate Nationals kicks off with a special one-hour program airing on CBS Sports on Sunday, May 25 at 2:00 PM (EDT). The show will launch eight consecutive days of Olympic-style programming on CBS College Sports Network, followed by sport specific shows. The first airing of each segment will be at 8:00 pm (EDT) with replays to be shown each day as well.
Clemson is the reigning ACC volleyball champions after posting a 22-1 conference record in 2007. The Tigers reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament and finished with a 29-4 overall record and the #22 final ranking. All-ACC honorees Jeannette Abbott, Didem Ege, Danielle Hepburn, Leslie Mansfield and Kelsey Murphy participated in the beach volleyball tournament.
