CSU Edges Niagara, 4-3

Contact: Jessica Gerich CLEVELAND, Ohio - CSU won a 4-3 match for the third consecutive match, defeating Niagara on Sunday. The win moves CSU to 4-2 on the season. After losing the doubles point, the men's squad won four singles matches to close out the match. Sophomore Phil Orno won at No. 2 singles, defeating Alex Abji 6-2, 6-0, while senior Brad Groleski defeated Collin Laffey 6-4. 6-2 at No. 5 singles. Freshmen Chris Klepatz and Robert Fox won at No. 3 and 6 singles, respectively. "Today we had a great win for the team," head coach Brian Etzkin said. "We lost the doubles point but regrouped and won four singles points. Fox closed out the match for the second night in a row to clinch the victory. Phil played solid tennis this weekand and Chris and Robert played well, winning both of their singles matches this weekend."
