CSU Downs Green Bay, 6-1
April 12, 2008 Contact: Jessica Gerich CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Cleveland State men's tennis team defeated Green Bay 6-1 on Saturday afternoon to improve to 13-5 overall and 2-1 against Horizon League opponents. The men won two of three doubles matches to claim the doubles point, winning at Nos. 1 and 3 doubles. Sophomore Phil Orno won 6-2, 6-4 over Tim Prudlow at No. 1 singles to continue his 14 match win streak. Chris Klepatz defeated John Brough 6-7 (4), 6-4, 10-7 at No. 4 singles and freshman Robert Fox won 6-3, 7-5 over Brian Zaron at No. 5 singles. Fox has won 11 consecutive singles matches. Junior Rob West defeated Eric Plaushines 6-4, 6-4 at No. 6 singles to complete CSU's victory. "It was great to see us rebound after Butler last week," head coach Brian Etzkin said. "Phil continued his win streak and Chris won a long three set match. This win puts us in a good position for next weekend."
