Fullerton, Calif. - Stanford qualified seven competitors -- five men and two women -- and earned three alternate spots to the NCAA Championships Sunday afternoon at the Western Regional Fencing Meet at Cal State Fullerton. The host Titans were shut out with their best performance coming from Tara Gough, who placed seventh in women's foil.

The Cardinal qualified two competitors in men's foil, two in men's saber, one in men's epee and two in women's saber to outperform UC San Diego, which qualified foiur women and one man and earned three alternates.
