Stanford, CA - Three Cal State Fullerton runners erased the school record in the three longest races in women's track and field Saturday afternoon at the prestigious Stanford Invitational.

Juliane Masciana topped her own record in the 3000 meter steeplechase by almost 25 seconds, Grace Gonzales broke Heather Killeen-Frisone's 13-year old mark in the 10000 meters and Carolyn Ellis trimmed about one second off her 5000 meter mark set earlier this season.

Masciana placed second in the second-fastest section in a time of 10:30.95, bettering her mark of 10:55.6 set earlier this year.

Gonzales ran eighth in the second-fastest section of the 10K in 35:02.16, to shatter Killeen-Frisone's old mark of 35:16.94 set in 1995.

Ellis improved her 5K mark from 16:40.16 in the Ben Brown meet to 16:39.28 to finish second in the second-fastest section.

"It was a great performance by all of the gals," said Head Coach John Elders. "It's a testament to how the women's distance program has stepped up this year."

This week's schedule finds the entire program back in action at the Big West Challenge at UC Irvine at 3 p.m. on Friday.
