Cody Loe Named MPSF/Molten Co-Player of the Week

WOODLAND, Calif. - Northridge freshman middle blocker Cody Loe has been named MPSF/Molten Co-Player of the Week for his performance in the Matadors' upset win over No. 2 Long Beach State and victory at UC San Diego last week.

In fourth-ranked Northridge's five-game upset win at second-ranked Long Beach State on Friday, Feb. 29, Loe pounded 18 kills without an error in 23 swings for a .783 hitting clip. He also added one ace and five blocks in the win.

On Saturday at UC San Diego, he had 11 kills while hitting .381 to go with two aces and seven blocks (one solo) as the Matadors held off UC San Diego to win in four.

For the week, Loe pounded 31 kills while hitting a solid .636. He becomes the second straight MPSF Player of the Week after junior Eric Vance earned the conference as well as national honor last week.
