Jimmy Roesinger's three hits were not enough for UD at St. Bonaventure

OLEAN, NY - Visiting Dayton fell behind early and could not catch up and lost, 7-2 to St. Bonaventure in the finale of an Atlantic 10 baseball doubleheader on Saturday afternoon. The loss drops UD to 14-13 overall and 2-6 in A-10 play entering Sunday's series finale at Noon ET.

SBU scored twice in the first, once in the second, three times in third and once more in the fourth to build an early-seven run lead. Dayton stranded five base runners over the same span and 10 overall on the day while scoring its only runs of the game in the eighth inning.

Freshman Jimmy Roesinger led the Flyer offense with a 3-for-4 effort that included an RBI triple and a run scored during the eighth-inning rally.

Senior Kevin Miller picked up another RBI with a single up the middle while Ryan Nevill singled, was hit by pitch and scored for Dayton.

Junior Scott Dunwoody finished 2-for-5 while Marshall MacDonald and Jake Hoover each singled once as UD scored two runs or less for the sixth time in eight conference games.

Lefthander Quinn Haselhorst fell to 2-1 on the season after allowing five runs on eight hits over 3.0 innings pitched.

Freshman Tim Corbey came out of the bullpen and gave up only one run on four hits with one strikeout and one walk in 4.0 innings pitched.

Classmate Willy Balbach threw a scoreless inning of relief and gave up just one walk and no hits.
