The Flyers will make the short trip from Dayton to Fairborn to face backyard rival Wright State Wednesday evening at Nischwitz Stadium. First pitch for the game between the Flyers and Raiders is scheduled for 6:30p.m. ET and the action can be followed with Gametracker at www.DaytonFlyers.com.

UD has been on a roll since taking a dramatic 12-10 decision in 10 innings against WSU two weeks ago. The Flyers have won eight of their last nine games since beating the Raiders on a walk-off two-run blast by Marshall MacDonald at Time Warner Cable Stadium on April 16. Dayton battled back in a game that saw the lead change three times before MacDonald's game-winning homer in the 10th inning gave UD the win.

Jake Hoover has led the Flyers at the plate over the last nine games by hitting at a .471 clip with 12 runs scored and 12 RBI. He has belted five doubles and three home runs while holding an on base percentage of .550. Cole Tyrell has added 14 hits including four for extra bases while scoring 13 runs in the same span. Dayton's offense has outhit its competition .368 to .269 over the last nine games while outscoring its opponents 83-35.

Once the Flyers get a lead, they can head to a reliable bullpen to close out the game. UD has a 21-0 record when leading after six innings this season behind a bullpen that boasts a 3.60 ERA while earning nine wins and eight saves . Dayton relief pitchers have fanned 133 batters in147.2 innings pitched and have held the competition to a .260 batting average. Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week Burny Mitchem leads the way with a 4-2 record, three saves and a 1.82 ERA. The freshman closerhas struck out 39 in only 29.2 innings pitched.

Following Wednesday's contest, the Flyers will head to the "Bay State" for a three-game Atlantic 10 Conference series against Massachusetts. UD and UMass will square off on Friday (3 p.m. ET), Saturday (1 p.m. ET) and Sunday (Noon ET) in games that can be followed with Gametracker at www.DaytonFlyers.com.
