Head Coach Brian Gregory
"First, I'm very pleased with the effort our guys gave tonight. We played extremely hard with great energy. We really played a solid team game. Unfortunately I was excited about this game for one reason in particular... unfortunately we had the situation with Rob Lowery. But I was thinking it has been so long since both Dayton and Xavier had everyone playing. It was nice to just see where we both really are. Unfortunately when Rob got injured in the first half we weren't full strength."

"We had to play extremely well to be successful. Our defensive pressure was good early. That has been the key to our success the whole year."

"The kid (Rob Lowery) has given his heart and soul to this team. The progress he has made as an athlete, a student and a man... it just breaks your heart. We'll find out tomorrow after his surgery what it is. We'll just have to fight through it."

"He (Chris Wright) was going to go through some stuff this year that he should have gone through as a freshman. As a sophomore... because he missed some of that time as a freshman... he's going to go through some of those rookie things. One of the hardest parts is for Chris to understand that and move on. This program is important to him. He was too jacked up the first half. He calmed down and played a great second half."

"As great as a win this was we have to concentrate on Rob and his family and the next game."

"Our student section has been unbelievable this year. They set the tone. They've been great. We have a great home court. We have fans that are really passionate about this program. Fans that have been a part of a lot of important wins in the history of this program and I think this team has given them some of those this year as well."

Chris Wright
"It was an exciting game and we just wanted to come out and play hard. I was having a lot of fun out there and playing with a lot of energy. We came out and played good defense. Xavier is a really, really good team. They are one of the top teams in the country. We just wanted to play with a lot of energy and play within our system. We wanted to do what we do best: defend, rebound and run."

"People probably start to pay attention to us more, but we really don't worry about that. We just want to get better every day. That's what it's about. We understand what we have, we know who we are and we are going to keep on working."

"We just wanted to keep fresh bodies in and wear them down. We get a sense of teams getting tired and we just want to keep hammering away. Tonight it worked for us."

Marcus Johnson
"It was a good win for us. Our guys came out and played hard. We were pressuring and did a lot of good things on offense to help it turn into our favor. It was our pressure and we did a lot of things to take away their offense."

"It's tough, but we are going to help Rob (Lowery) through this process and move forward. "

"It was a big crowd. I loved it. The Flyer Faithful has been here all year for us. That was good to see everybody out with towels."

"B.J. Raymond is a great player, a great shooter and it was in my mindset not to let him get open shots."

Mickey Perry
"It might seem funny, but we never talk about (being an NCAA team). We just take everything one game at a time, one practice at a time. It's another 40 minutes of opportunity to get better and play."

"We are a deep team. Everybody made key plays and played big minutes. It's a big win, but you can't focus all on that. Give them a lot of credit, Xavier fought hard, but now we just have to focus on Richmond."
