LEXINGTON, Ky. - Freshman Michael Oberschmidt carded a 76 and 77 in the first two rounds of the University of Kentucky Bluegrass Invitational.

Oberschmidt led the Flyers into clubhouse tied for 38th overall among individuals. The Flyers shot back-to-back scores of 311 as a team and finished the first day in 15th out of 17 squads.

Not far behind was sophomore Chris Woeste who extended his streak of rounds below 80 to seven thanks to a first round 77 and a second round 78.

Sophomore Jeff Hodapp bounced back from a first round 79 to card a second round 77.

Senior Rob Chappell finished with an 80 in round one and a 79 in the second round. Fellow senior Mitch Custenborder added 79 in round one and an 82 in the second.

The Flyers will play the third and final round of the invitational on Sunday, April 12 from the Big Blue Course.
