Florian DeCamps tallied nine goals and five assists in 2008

The 2008 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer All-Ohio Team was released today and three University of Dayton players were among the 17 honored.

Flyer freshman goalkeeper Tyler Picard, senior forward Florian DeCamps and junior forward Alex Torda each earned a spot on the All-Ohio squad.

Picard, a native of Denver, posted a 0.97 GAA after notching 72 saves on his way to seven shutouts and a 13-2-2 record.

DeCamps, of Cannes, France, was a First Team All-Atlantic 10 selection. He was named the A-10 Championship Most Outstanding Player after scoring three goals in the tournament. He put up big numbers in his senior year with nine goals and tied a team-high with five assists and 23 points.

Torda, named to the All-Ohio Team for the second consecutive season, was a Second Team A-10 selection and led the Flyers in goals scored with 10 this year. The Colleyville, Texas native tied DeCamps with 23 points. He was also named to the prestigious 2008 NSCAA/adidas Men's College Scholar All-America Team and 2008 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America® Men's Soccer Team.

Dayton finished the 2008 campaign 15-4-3 overall with an Atlantic 10 Tournament Championship and a bid to the 2008 NCAA Men's Soccer Championship for the first time in UD men's soccer history.
