DAYTON, Ohio - A win from junior Michael Rohana over the Atlantic 10's reigning Performer of the Year was not enough on Tuesday as the Xavier Musketeers defeated the University of Dayton men's tennis team, 6-1, at Dayton Center Courts.

UD (6-13) forced the top two singles courts into a third set, and Rohana was able to pull out a 6-2, 4-6, 10-7 victory at No. 1 over Xavier's Doug Matthews.

This is the second consecutive year that Rohana has defeated Matthews at No. 1 singles.

Dayton junior Matt Sherman dropped his No. 2 singles match in the third set, 6-3, 3-6, 4-6.

The Flyers will next face another Atlantic 10 opponent, George Washington, on Saturday, April 4 at home beginning at 11 a.m. EST.
