    For the third consecutive round, the Dayton Flyers lowered their team score, but it wasn't enough as UD finished the EKU Invitational in 17th.

    The Flyers were led by sophomore Julie Pouliquen and junior Katie Dempsey in the third round. Pouliquen and Dempsey each shot an 81 to close play. Pouliquen finished tied for 60th and Dempsey tied for 73rd.

    Also tying for 73rd was freshman Clara Ang. After posting back-to-back 84's on the first day, Ang shot an 83 in the third and final round.

    Junior Paige Smith fired an 88 to close play while junior Katie Gallagher added an 85.

    As a team Dayton shot a 330 in round three, better than the 341 and 333 in the first two rounds a day before.

    Next up for the Flyers is the 2009 Colonial Athletic Association Championship. The event will be held April 17-19 from the Callaway Gardens course in Pine Mountain, Ga.
