UD WOMEN'S GOLF RETURNS TO ACTION AT EKU INVITATIONAL

The University of Dayton women's golf team returns from a two and a half week hiatus to resume the spring season on April 11-12 at the EKU Lady Colonel Invitational. Dayton will play at the Arlington Country Club in Richmond, Ky. The teams will play 36 holes on Saturday and 18 on Sunday. Both days begin with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. ET. The course is 5,817 yards and par is 72. UD will be one of 18 teams in the field competing for the tournament championship. Dayton will battle against Akron, Austin Peay, Bowling Green State, Central Arkansas, Eastern Michigan, Evansville, Houston Baptist, Morehead State, Murray State, Ohio, Richmond, Southern Illinois, SIU Edwardsville, Tennessee Tech, Toledo, Western Kentucky and the host school, Eastern Kentucky. The Flyers are coming off a second-place finish at the Butler Spring Invitational. Three Dayton Flyers finished in the Top 10 overall as junior Katie Dempsey and sophomore Julie Pouliquen each tied for fourth, while freshman Clara Ang placed in a tie for eighth. The trio of Dempsey, Pouliquen and Ang have led the way this season. Dempsey's averaging 82.1 strokes per round, Ang 82.9 and Pouliquen at 83.1. |
