Continuing their preparation for the upcoming Atlantic 10 Championship, the Dayton Flyers women's rowers will have two events during a five-day stretch.

On Saturday, April 4, the Flyers will participate in a four-team meet in Morgantown, W Va. UD will compete against Duquesne, George Mason and West Virginia. Last weekend the Flyers competed against all three teams in the 24-team field at the Murphy Cup.

After Saturday's trip to West Virginia, Dayton will have a dual meet against Cincinnati's club team on Wednesday, April 8. That will be held at East Fork State Park on Lake Harsha.

Lake Harsha is only 25 minutes east of campus and has hosted such events as the Collegiate National Championships, Elite Nationals, Midwest Regionals and currently hosts the US Rowing Youth National Championships. East Fork features an 8 lane 2000 meter buoyed course and visiting boathouses.

In UD's last event, Dayton finished in third in all three events against Saint Joseph's and Connecticut. In the Varsity 8, UD came in with a time of 7:03.4, finishing behind second place UConn at 6:58.1 and St. Joe's at 6:45.6.

These two events are the last two before Dayton heads to the 2009 Atlantic 10 Women's Rowing Championship on Saturday, April 18. The nine-team field will compete at Cooper River Park in Pennsauken, N.J.
