Freshman (2008): Saw playing time in all 22 games in rookie campaign and registered five starts as a midfielder, including the season opener against the Big Ten Conference's Indiana (Aug. 22)...Tallied five goals for 10 points, which was fifth best for the Flyers and made her the highest scoring freshman on the team...Registered first collegiate goal, a dramatic game-winning goal in Dayton's 1-0 win over Cincinnati (Sept. 9)...Also put away the game-winning goal in UD's 3-2 win over Fordham (Oct. 31) that allowed the Flyers to secure the No. 2 seed in the Atlantic 10 Championship...Also scored goals against St. Bonaventure (Oct. 17), Charlotte (Oct. 24) and Fordham (Nov. 7) in the semifinals of the A-10 Championship... Named to the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll and UD Dean's List for Spring 2009. Coach Tucker on Kelsey Owen - "KO" is a very dynamic attacking player who has played a key role in helping her Eagles (CA) club team to two national championships. She is always a threat to score, and is adapt at either creating her own chances or on getting on the end of her teammates passes. Kelsey is tough, physical presence and will be a great addition in the middle of the field for the Flyers."
