OLEAN, NY - The University of Dayton women's soccer team played to a 0-0 draw against St. Bonaventure on Sunday afternoon at McGraw-Jennings Field in Olean, NY. With the tie UD moves to 11-3-1 overall, 4-1-1 in the Atlantic 10 Conference. Despite out-shooting the Bonnies 20-8, the Flyers had trouble getting the ball past goalkeeper Amanda Prestigiacomo who posted 10 saves on the afternoon. Dayton's best chance of the game came in the 87th minute when Mandi Bäck ripped a shot that finally beat SBU's goalkeeper, but it was denied by the post and cleared out of play. Bäck had a career high nine shots, five of those going on frame. Senior Niki Reed had two saves of her own posting her eighth shutout of the season. The draw moves the Flyers into a three-way tie for first place in the A-10 with Saint Louis and Charlotte both having won its matches on Sunday. The Dayton women return to action on Friday, October 19 as they host Saint Louis at 7:30 p.m. ET and Charlotte on Sunday, October 21 at 1:00 p.m. ET at Baujan Field.
