March 16, 2008 KISSIMMEE, Fl. - The University of Dayton Flyer softball squad split their first two games in the Orlando Rebel Games. In their first game, the Flyers downed Fairleigh Dickinson 6-1 in a 3-for-3 performance by Mollie Schrank. Erin Lafayette collected her 14th career win after pitching a complete game. The win moves her to 10th all-time in UD history. In their second game, the Flyers fell short in a loss to Hartford, 3-1. The Flyers mustered four hits while allowing three runs in the first inning. Sophomore Eva Rappe recorded the loss while pitching a complete game. UD is back in action on Monday taking on Wagner College and the Army Black Knights at 11:00 a.m. and 1 p.m. respectively.
