April 2, 2008 ATHENS, Ohio - The University of Flyers dropped a twinbill with the Ohio Bobcats on Wednesday, losing 4-2 in the first contest and 9-0 in the second game. With the losses Dayton is now 15-16 this season and 2-4 in the Atlantic 10. Laura Matthews was 2-for-2 and hit a solo home run in the first game. Matthews also drew one walk in the second game. Eva Rappe pitched a complete game in the loss striking out one batter. Rappe is now 8-8 this season. In the second game, Erin Lafayette collected the loss after the Flyers gave up four runs in the bottom half of the first inning. Leah Buls provided relief for the Flyers in the second game stepping in during the fourth inning. Buls struck out one batter in one inning pitched The Flyers lost the first game to the Bobcats 4-2. Despite two runs by Laura Matthews including a solo home run, the Flyers fell on a triple to right field by Ohio's Alicia Catlette.
