SOFTBALL INKS TWO FOR NEXT SEASON

The Flyers will add five to their incoming roster next season

April 10, 2008

DAYTON, Ohio - Head coach Cara Clark and the University of Dayton softball team added two more future Flyers to the 2008-2009 recruiting class on Wednesday inking Courtney Kutsulis and Lauren Nacke to National Letters of Intent.

"We expect this year's recruiting class to have an immediate influence on the growth and success of our program," said Clark.

Kutsulis hails from Homer Glen, Illinois and is a four year letter-winner at Lockport Township High School. Kutsulis is a two-time conference champion and two-time captain for the Porters. She is also a member of the Homer Hawks 18U softball club.

Nacke is a native of Greenwood, Indiana and a four year letter-winner for the Center Grove High School Trojans. She has helped lead her team to three Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference titles including a state final four appearance in 2005. Nacke also competes on the Indy Edge 18U softball team.

"The addition of quality softball players like Kutsulis and Nacke will certainly strengthen our team," said Clark.

With the latest additions Dayton has now added five total players to the 2008-2009 recruiting class. Clark and her staff inked Brandy Brown, Raime Cronkhite and Kristina Ortiz all to letters of intent during the early signing period last fall. The remainder of next year's class will be added as the spring continues.
