Head coach Cara Clark announced the dates and times for the Flyer Summer Softball Academy to be held at UD Softball Stadium.

The Academy will feature current Flyer coaches and past athletes at the University of Dayton.

SOFTBALL THE FLYER WAY The University of Dayton softball coaching staff and players are offering a sofball clinic which covers fundamental softball instruction for hitting, defense, throwing, baserunning, history of the game and developing a positive mental approach to the game. The clinic will provide each player the opportunity to improve their softball skills while becoming a student of the game.

SCHEDULE 3-DAY CAMP JUNE 9, 10 AND 11 Session 1: 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (Ages 5-9) Session 2: Noon to 3:00 p.m. (Ages 10-14)

ACADEMY COSTS Session 1: $125 (Ages 5-9) Session 2: $150 (Ages 10-14)

Family rate: Two or more siblings from the same family received in the same envelope will receive a $15 discount per camper.
Team rate: Four or more members from the same team received in the same envelope will receive a $15 discount per camper.
Included with camp fees: T-Shirt, Snack/Beverage, handouts, prizes and awards, skill evaluation and a softball media guide.

WHAT TO BRING / WEAR Practice clothes, helmet, softball glove, softball bat (optional), sneakers/cleats, water bottle and sunscreen.

FACILITIES Academy participants will train and play at the UD Softball Stadium along the banks of the Great Miami River. The stadium features complete batting cages, bullpen and a natural playing surface that caters to 500-plus spectators. Parking is available on-site at the UD Softball Stadium.

INDIVIDUALIZED ATTENTION The Academy allows for a hands on experience with direct feedback from the coaching staff. Players will learn and develop their abilities with a player/coach ratio of no more than10 to 1 allowing for greater development and indivudalized help.
