DAYTON, Ohio - First Team All-Conference performer Johnna Zaccari was named the Atlantic 10 Track & Field Performer and Rookie of the Week taking first place in the shot put this past Saturday at the Coastal Carolina Invitational with a toss of 44-05.50.

It was the third time in a row Zaccari finished first in the shot put at a meet for UD. The Flyer freshman recently helped Dayton's squad finish second at the A-10 Indoor Championships capturing the shot put title with a personal best hurl of 46-04.25.

She's been a major contributor to the team in her first year in a Flyer uniform. Zaccari has recorded six of the top 10 throws of the indoor season for a Flyer and owns the top throw in the Conference which she recorded at the A-10 Championships.

The women's track & field will continue the outdoor season on March 29 at Miami University Invitational in Oxford, Ohio. Results for the meet will be available at www.DaytonFlyers.com.
