March 27, 2008 River Forest, IL - The Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) honored Dominican University's Seth Fallik with the 2007 NAC Sportsmanship Award. Fallik, a senior on the men's soccer team in the fall of 2007, was a positive role model for his younger teammates and served as a team captain in 2006. "Seth was a lead by example type of person," commented Head Coach Erick Baumann. "He showed his younger teammates what it means to be a part of a successful Division III program. He worked hard on a daily basis in both practices and games." Throughout his career, Fallik helped the Stars to four NCAA Division III National Tournament Appearances, including an Elite Eight finish in 2006, as he appeared in 85 games and started 41 contests. Fallik always put the team ahead of individual accomplishments, playing numerous positions for the Stars throughout his career, including both outside back positions. Off the field, Fallik earned his bachelor's degree from Dominican University in the winter of 2008 with a triple major in social science, sociology and criminology with a minor in history. Throughout his career at Dominican, Fallik was twice honored as a conference scholar-athlete in both the Lake Michigan Conference and NAC. In addition to his time spent on the practice field, game field and in the classroom, Fallik made time in his schedule to volunteer in Habitat for Humanity, traveling to Biloxi, Miss. during spring break his junior year to rebuild homes that had been ravaged by Hurricane Katrina during the summer of 2005. |
