Red and Blue Fall to Billikens, 17-6

Duquesne's baseball team fell behind early to visiting Saint Louis and couldn't catch up as the Billikens captured a 17-6 victory Friday afternoon at Duquesne Field.
SLU scored six first-inning runs and held a lead of at least three runs for the entire game.
Mike Carroll was 2-4 with a three-run homer in the sixth inning and knocked in four runs for the game while Pat Kimutis followed Carroll's homer with a solo shot. Kimutis had two hits on the day as did Derek Mechling, Anthony Manley, Eric Morrison and Andrew Heck.
Game two of the three-game series will be played Saturday at 1:00 pm.
