Rombach, Totino Earm MAAC Honors

Nov. 19, 2007

Sophomore quarterback Kevin Rombach and freshman linebacker Nathan Totino have been named MAAC Offensive Player and Rookie of the Week respectively for their performance in DU's 31-20 loss at Monmouth on Saturday.

It is the league-high fifth time Rombach (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) has been named Player of the Week. He won the award four consecutive weeks in September and October.

Rombach completed 23-of-41 passes for 226 and three touchdowns in the loss.

It is also the league-high fifth time Totino (Pittsburgh, Pa./Seton-La Salle) has been named Rookie of the Week. Totino had eight tackles (seven solo) in the defeat.

Duquesne finished the season with a 6-4 record, capping their final year in the MAAC with their 11th league title (shared with Iona and Marist).

The Dukes will compete as an associate football-playing member of the Northeast Conference beginning in 2008.
