Dukes Wrap Up Regular Season at Pitt

Duquesne's men's swimming team wrapped up its regular season at Pitt on Saturday with several swimmers turning in stellar performances in preparation for the Atlantic 10 Championships.
Freshman Edward LeBlanc led the way again, winning three races and setting two school records. He won the 200 IM, breaking his own school record with a time of 1:53.00 and the 200 free with a school record time of 1:40.07. He also won the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:37.81.
Freshman Greg Matuszewski set a DU season-best time of 54.28 in the 100 backstroke while sophomore Ian P. Walsh finished second in the 100 breaststroke, turning in a team season-best time of 58.67 and third in the 200 breast with a DU season-best time of 2:11.57. Other notable peformances included freshman Jim O'Hara placing second in the 100 butterfly in 52.15 and the 400 free relay finishing second in 3:09.99.
The Dukes return to action on Wednesday, Feb. 20 as they compete in the four-day Atlantic 10 Championships in Buffalo, N.Y.
