Arin Whitman Named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week

PHILADELPHIA - After winning the discus event with a throw of 128-7 and placing second in the javelin and hammer and third in the shot put at the Carnegie Mellon Senior Meet, Arin Whitman was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week.
Whitman finished second to teammate Sydney Schwab in the javelin with a throw of 120-5. She had a team-best 136-00 in the hammer and finished third overall in the hammer with a distance of 34-5.75.
The Dukes will be at the Atlantic 10 Championships May 3 and May 4 on the campus of the University of Massachusetts.
