GREENVILLE, N.C. --- The 2008 Ironwood Pirate Intercollegiate has been reduced to a 36-hole tournament as play Saturday was cancelled due to torrential rains. Play is scheduled to resume Sunday at 7:30 a.m. at the Ironwood Golf & Country Club.

Newberry holds a four-stroke lead over second place Liberty and an eight-stroke leade over third place St. John's. Host East Carolina is in fourth place, nine stroke behind the Indians.

Newberry's Daniel Stanley and Boston College's Alex Snickenberger are tied atop the leaderboard at four-under-par. Five other competitors are within three strokes of the lead.
