BEVERLY, Mass. - The Endicott College baseball team's home opener against Bridgewater State College, originally scheduled to be played today at 3:30 p.m. on North Field, has been postponed due to field conditions on the Beverly campus. The Gulls and the Bears have been rescheduled for April 22, 2008, with the first pitch slated for 3:30 p.m.

Endicott will make its New England debut on Wednesday afternoon as it travels across town borders to Salem State College, renewing the squad's North Shore rivalry. The Blue and Green boast a 5-4 overall record after a successful spring trip to the Central Florida Invitational.

The Gulls' Luis Uribe (Boston, Mass.) was honored as The Commonwealth Coast Conference Rookie of the Week on Monday, as the EC outfielder hit at a .450 clip (9-for-20) and registered multiple hits in four of Endicott's seven games last week. In seven games played, Uribe scored five runs and tallied an impressive .538 on-base percentage as the Blue and Green posted a 3-4 weekly record.
