BEVERLY, Mass. - The Endicott College women's basketball outscored visiting Gordon College 39-17 in the second half, as the Gulls downed the Fighting Scots, 77-49, on Saturday afternoon in a TCCC contest in the MacDonald Gymnasium.

Despite never trailing on Saturday afternoon, Endicott found itself in a tightly contested game midway through the opening half. With the score 20-all and 8:03 showing on the clock, Endicott rifled off seven-straight points to pull ahead 27-20. The Gulls would extend that lead to as many as 11 as Ceciley Chisholm (Lexington, Mass./Lexington) scored two of her team-high 18 after she corralled a missed 3-pointer by Kaylin Burke (Leominster, Mass./Leominster) and sunk the put-back. The hosts would enter halftime with a six point cushion, 38-32.

Endicott opened the second half with a game-ending 10-2 run that blew the score open, 48-34. Ceciley Chisholm and Ashley Vitale (Wilmington, Mass./Wilmington) combined to score all five buckets during the EC charge. The 28 point margin, 77-49, was the Gulls largest lead of the game. Endicott forced 27 Gordon turnovers, resulting in 31 points.

Gordon was led by Erin Thames' (River Vale, NJ/Pascack Valley) game-high 20 points on 7-of-17 shooting. Bridget O'Hara (West Newburyport, Mass./Pentucket Regional) chipped in with six points and five rebounds. Brianna Records (Bar Harbor, Maine/Mount Desert Island) and Alexis Klempel (Bismarck, N.D./Shiloh Christian) each ended the game with six points apiece.

Endicott was paced by Ceciley Chisholm's team-high 18 points and nine rebounds, just one board shy of a double-double. Nicole Duchesne (Plaistow, N.H./Central Catholic), who had a quiet 4-of-14 afternoon from the floor, still finished with 16 points and five rebounds. Ashley Vitale and Nicole Young (Rockland, Mass./Cardinal Spellman) each had 10 points in the win.

The loss sets Gordon back to 4-15 overall (3-4 TCCC). The victory marks Endicott's fifth-straight, as the Gulls improve their record to 12-7 and a perfect 7-0 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference. Endicott will travel to Colby-Sawyer to put its unblemished TCCC record on the line against the Chargers on Wednesday evening.
